Bed in process for HAWK pads is easy and fun, when you're finished your pads will be very hot so don't panic if you see smoke....Make three runs 35 MPH to 10 MPH applying the brakes but never come to a complete stop. Now do two runs 45 MPH to 10 MPH applying the brakes and you still haven't come to a stop. Third run is from 65 MPH back to10 MPH applying the brakes once more for the last run. Now park your ride for a couple hours and let everything cool down. You're finished, those HAWK pads should always be quiet and work perfectly for miles to come with 90% less dust than OE pads! The bed in process makes your brakes 30% to 40% more effective which means shorter stopping distances....Gary

Thats what I did after installing them too, and it was fun.

Anyone have issue in the rain? If it is raining and the roads are wet it takes about 2 scary seconds before the brakes grab. Did not have that with the OEM's. So now I pre-brake to dry them before I have to exit.

Replaced rotors with slotted at the sametime as pads.

 

this should be a sticky in your brain if you ever do your own brake jobs.

 

Even if you don't do your own work, you can do the bed in process on the way home from the shop....Gary
