Here is a pic showing the difference between the original bushing (off my 2006 RWD sedan) and the revised bushing. You can see the new part number in the pic. It is difficult to see with the shadows, but the original bushing has voids at the top and bottom. Those voids are filled in with the revised bushing. It is possible that the part number is different for the coupe and/or AWD sedan. I got mine from G35driver member Phil@GRUBBS. I'm sure he can help you find the right parts for your car.

Great DIY. Replacement suggestions?

Great DIY! Thanks for the post.
I just bought a 04 sedan and the pre-purchase inspection failed for the compression rod bushings. Does anyone have any opinions on which aftermarket bushings to use?
I have found
Whiteline http://www.nissanraceshop.com/produc...FYKDQgodVBMAlQ
Energy Suspension http://www.b2autodesigns.com/product...oducts_id=5046

I know this was done a while back but does anyone happen to remember or know what torque these suspension bolts need to be tightened to?

Awesome write up! Nissan came out with a TSB with a part # for the bushings alone so as to avoid replacing the whole arm during warranty work.

Torque specs should be in the FSM available for download on here. You'll just need to download the front suspension section.

I don't know which year and model you have, but everything can be found in the "FSU" file here: https://g35driver.com/forums/faq-diy...e-manuals.html

Great write-up. I definitely will be doing this as soon as the shop is cleaned up. Too much junk in the way right now.

What is the part# for 2WD Sedan compression rod bushings? Are they the same as a 350Z? I ask because there is a Nissan dealer in town but they basically won't sell me anything for the G unless I have a Nissan part number.

EDIT: I saw the part number in the photo above. Looks like 54570-AC70A

Bump, will be doing this as soon as my Whileline bushings arrive.

Does anybody happen to know what size sockets I would need to also change out the front control arm bushings? (both shock and inner) Figure I'd replace everything up front at once.

Seriously dudes are you fvcking kidding me? You're asking a member who posted 2 years ago that linked a thread that came out 7 years ago on a different site to repost pictures he didn't even post?
