My car is lowered on HKS coilovers. I do not have toe bolts, but I wanted to lower the rear only about 0.5". My alignment specs for the rear are currently -1.5 degree camber and about -0.14 toe. The factory specs for the g35 coupe are 0.0 to -0.22. Will I be drastically affected, and are toe bolts recommended?

What I really want to know is how my toe will be affected. It's already at -0.14. Will it continue to get more negative due to the additional lowering?

 

Is your car dropped at all to begin with? Or did you install the coils at factory ride height? A half-inch drop won't excessively affect your toe. I would still get an alignment done just to be on the safe side, though.

I'm lowered on Z S.Techs. NTB still managed to get my toe into spec with the factory toe bolts.

 

Yes. I'm already lowered about 1.5-1.75 in the rear. I'm just trying to get my toe as close to 0 as possible in order to avoid additional tire wear.

 

Most likely you will be out of spec going that low.
If you don't already have a camber kit atleast on the rear it's worth the small investment.
Fronts are a lot pricier.

I would say that while it may not be "excessive", it will likely need an alignment.

A good rule of thumb is that any time you change your ride height you should get an alignment.

There's guys on stock arms running -4 with stock toe bolts with toe at zero. More low, more camber..buy adjustable arms to correct it.

the toe will be fine until you try and adjust the camber. As long as you are fine running some camber you should be alright...but if you try and pull the camber back in spec the toe will get whacked up

 

agree with JaE35 better to invest in adjustable arms. you aint that low so camber shouldnt be too bad. if youre worried about the toe that bad grab those adj arms.
