For just stopping power and reliability a set of high quality blanks are your best bet. Everything else for your application would be just for looks and offer no noticeable benefit.

Good choice Chris, yes the DBAs will work well for many years to come! Now all you need is quality pads like HAWK HPS to complete your stopping power....don't forget the "Bed in Process!"

I would vote for centric blanks and save $500 instead of that basically cosmetic upgrade.

If your primary goal is to be able to panic stop at any time, then the OEM setup sounds like what you want. The biggest issue in panic stopping is usually the driver not pressing on the brakes hard enough early enough.

The DBA 4000 is a great rotor, maybe a little overkill for the street as they are heat treated and slapped with thermal tape, if the car is only used for the street there is no harm in taking it down the DBA T2 Street Series, that will save you some extra money you can put somewhere else without giving up any performance.

Depended on your G these may not be available, but Centric offers their Powerslot rotors to compete with the DBA T2. Both are great rotors, both have the veins and hat painted to cut on rust.

There's no need to have a drilled rotor, they are only for looks and they cut the structural integrity of the rotor under heavy breaking.

Overkill? Keep in mind what's between you and the road may save your life, which includes tires and brakes. Quality isn't considered overkill....Gary
