Swapping Brembo Brakes with Standard Brakes

I have an '03 G35 Coupe - manual transmission with Brembo brakes
and an '04 G35 Coupe - automatic transmission with standard brakes.

Should I decide to sell the '03, I may want to put the Brembos on the '04.

If anyone has had the ACTUAL EXPERIENCE of fitting Brembos to a standard brake G35 or vice-versa, I would be very interested in any comments you may have. I suspect fitting them may be fairly straightforward, however the computer and sensor systems of the vehicle may complicate things.

Thank you

RT

I did the swap, stock to brembo, piece of cake. No complications at all. Take brakes off, put new ones one. That simple. Make sure to swap the brembo lines too though. Stock lines and banjo bolt will not work with brembos, but you have everything you need.

Brake boosters and master cylinder diameters are different on the two cars so pedal feel and effort won't be exactly the same.

everything you need is here, you don't need to swap the master cylinder either

No, you don't need to, but it's a good idea. It affects pedal travel, effort and feel.

Swapping Brembo Brakes with Standard Brakes

Thanks very much for this. I think this is good advice as well and it makes sense to swap out the whole system to be certain to retain the "feel" and full character and performance as you indicate. I will add this to the "to do" list for when I do this project.

Cheers

Rob
