Small Questions Thread: Brakes and Suspension

I highly suggest you install Adjustable toe bolts. Follow this DIY: https://g35driver.com/forums/brakes-...t-install.html
Another good idea is getting an eccentric lockout kit for your camber arms. Eccentric bolts can sometimes slip and mess up your alignment.

Hello my name is Hasani I have a 04 G35 coupe with brembos. When I changed my brake setup I stripped the threads on the passenger side brembo. I need to know size heli coil kit I need so I can drill and tap my caliper. This link is the closest I ve gotten research wise but no where else is this talked about. Any advise would be greatly appreciated

Are there any drawbacks to cutting the rear spring mounts to even out the drop heights? Some people have told me that there's no harmful effects on the car... others say that the ride will be more harsh and the shocks will wear out more quickly. Is it that bad?
I have aftermarket springs and shocks and am looking to cut the rear spring mounts to get the rears as low as the fronts.

Generally you'll need a camber kit for any kind of drop, especially since our cars have negative camber right out of the factory. The only thing camber does to your tires is wear them unevenly. If you flip the tires every now and then, the camber won't do much until both sides are completely worn out. Toe is what kills your tires (for which you'll also need the toe bolts), but that can usually be more easily corrected at alignment shops.

Sedans with sports package have the same shocks as the base model coupe. KYB makes good OEM quality parts, and can be purchased at most auto parts stores.
KYB only has one part number for sedans and base model coupes, so you should be fine with those (free upgrade for the non-sport owners). The other part number from KYB is for Coupes w/ sport package and for 350Z's.
