Loud clunking noise
Loud clunking noise
Whenever I shift from Park to Drive or reverse, there's a clunking noise coming from the rear passenger tire area. I've got BC racing coilovers, and everything is tight back there. I pulled the wheel off and everything seems to be in order. It doesn't make any clunking noise when going over bumps or hard dips. I don't understand and I"m worried about it.
Any ideas?

It's the load on the drivetrain when shifting into reverse or drive.
Most likely. My car used to do this when it was AT, only when going into R or D.
There was a service bulletin from Nissan on this. The grease they used would dry up prematurely....how I dont know. Get some good moly grease, remove your axles and regrease the joint. Have fun its a PITA.

Well it isn't the axle click. Removed the axle, which wasn't bad and greased it with moly grease. Put everything back on and it's still making the sound. The slight click is gone, but it's a really loud creaking sound. I'm at a loss now,and I'm scared to drive the car honestly.
EDIT:
Well after taking the car to get it aligned, the technician noted that the spc camber arms were differently lengths and the nut itself wasn't tight. So now after getting it aligned and all snug, the car feels like the G35 that I love to drive. Thanks for all the help guys.
