Clunking issue 05 sedan
Clunking issue 05 sedan
So I have a 05 g35 sedan 6mt and ever since I bought the car I've been having a clunking coming from the left front. You can hear it when hitting bumps and also when braking at higher speeds(somewhat sounds/feels like a warped rotor does but I replaced the brakes and it sounds like a more aggressive clunk than a rotor would). I did some research and a lot if people were saying check the transverse bushings so I did and they look fine. All tie rods and ball joints are tight and don't have play. Sway bar links and bushings look fine. Anyone have any ideas what it is for sure before I start throwing money and replacing control arms and bushings?
Probably Sway Bar Links
I'm experiencing a similar clunking over bumps from the front left too. Pretty sure it's the sway bar link(s). Planning to replace one or both this weekend. $50 and maybe an hour's worth of work for both is a cheap enough experiment. I'll let you know if it fixes the problem.
I replaced my compression rod bushings with the whiteline ones and my clunk/wobble issue went away

I had a similar problem in my audi a6. I checked all the supension no problems. I looked at my driver side cv joint had a tear in the boot. Replaced the cv clunking went away. I dont know if thats your problem but it acted the same everytime I hit a bump I would hear it.
