Here is a good test done awhile ago. Shows brake power/distance is near identical. Main difference is rotor temp.

You must have missed my post above. Your info is incorrect. In 03-04, Brembo-equipped models (OPB27VA) had a larger MC bore than the standard-equipped brakes (CLZ25VD). See excerpt below from the 2004 FSM:

I've read the article years ago, but again, we are talking about feel, not stopping distance or braking power. You said "If you put Hawk HPS pads on both stock brakes and Brembos, they would feel identical daily driving." I disagree. They feel quite different through the pedal, and not every stop on the street is a max braking effort.

Wow. Thanks, I never knew the 03-04 had a 1". All Zs had exact same bore size for all 3 packages, didn't know they changed it on the G. Looks like they have the same boosters though as the Z. Thanks for that.

Truth be told, I've never driven a base 03-04 and didn't realize they had a different MC. I have owned 2 04 w/ brembo and driven multiple 05-06 and they do feel idental.

No worries...I've seen this issue/topic come up a number of times over the years and I think it's something that people often overlook when doing the swap. They just think about calipers, and not enough about "system".

It is correct that 05+ MC's had 1" bore.

Yes, the 05 base brakes were a big improvement over the 03-04 in feel and longevity;,they upsized the caliper, rotor size and pad, I believe, and they had a more progressive feel than the base 03-04 models. Infiniti just got tired of the complaints from Brembo owners about noise which is why they axed the Brembos. TBH, I've never had noise issues w/my Brembos in the 11 years I've owned this car, so I have no idea what they're talking about, and I've done 3 pad changes myself. Weird decision...

You only prefer Brembo because they have the word Brembo on them and you think they are better, when in real life they are not. They excel in fade, not stopping power. You will never notice a difference in daily driving.
Lol I did 👍🏼

And yes I bought them for the name and look as well.

Bleeding them again, the rear seems to be trickling out, not shooting out when we break the bleed screw, is this normal?? Brakes feel a little bit better, a little air came out of the fronts..

Try tapping the caliper with a rubber mallet a few times - you may have some air trapped in the caliper. Also, check to make sure you don't have a brake line pinched somewhere.

I read that the bleed pattern is different than the normal furthest to closest, what should I do since my car came with standard brakes?

You might want to just drive a local shop and pay them $50 to bleed them for you.
