Check valve location?

is there supposed to be a check valve in this hose?

booster to engine vacuum hose

It's on the hose from the booster going into the plenum.

so it is supposed to be inside, I have a hollow hose. :/

It should be pushed up inside the hose, it's not an external piece. Squeeze the rubber and verify its not in there, new hoses don't come with one so typically you dissect the old hose to remove the existing check valve.

If you're is missing it's a common over-the-counter part.
