VDC and SLIP always lit up. blown out tie rod ends. how to reset steering angle sens?

my 05 sedan with 150k I got the slip and vdc lights on now won't go off. the car drives fine no problems accelerating or stopping I checked my brake fluid and even did the rear pads which were low but not making noise or anything. But I noticed the tie rod ends are completely trashed but not making any noise I suppose steering feel could be tighter but it still drives straight even though both sides tie rod ends are blown out. torn boots so I'm guessing this is why my VDC and SLIP are staying on. I even cleaned my front abs sensors which were dirty but that had no effect.
So my other question is how do I reset the steering angle sensor after I replace the tie rod ends and get an alignment? do I have to get a consultII scanner? is that the only way? then I'm guessing nissan data scan is the cheapest option?

Regular scanner should suffice. It’s very likely a wheel speed sensor on the outs or broken.

I'm trying to use an android app I got torque and a bunch of others I finally got a code p1562 for the Ascd or something like that it's been doing that for a while I don't know if it's related but my cruise control stopped working. it's the code for the cruise control switch on the steering wheel from what I understand. I dont think that would make the vdc and slip come on as the cruise control has been broken for quite some time and now this vdc and slip lights wont turn off it's only been a few days and I notice sometimes the slip wont be on when i first start the car. then it comes back on in a few minutes

what I really want to know is the code for my slip and vdc light no scanner has been able to tell me . is there a code for a slip and vdc light on?

Go down to a local parts house, their scanners can usually do ABS codes. Torque for Android does not.

the abs is working fine the abs light doesn't stay lit up and abs is operating normally. I'm wondering if the Cruise control buttons on my steering wheel being broken is causing the vdc and slip to stay illuminated

I replaced my tie rod ends and the lights are still on. I might need an alignment although it still drives straight. I'm still confused how the traction control system can sense if my alignment is off or bushings are worn. Thats what the manual says the car does. I'm just not sure how yet.

It's a combination of the yaw sensor (fancy compass that tells how many degrees the car is turning in a circle) and the steering angle sensor (tells the computer how many degrees left/right your steering wheel is pointed).

If the yaw sensor says you're driving in a straight line but the steering angle sensor says the steering wheel is not straight then it thinks you are sliding and will make the correction via your ABS brakes to straighten you back out again.

Or the opposite, the steering angle sensor is telling the system that you're turning by X degrees, but the yaw sensor data shows you're not turning, so it thinks your sliding.
