Hey guys,

I'm new to these forums, I had a leak from my 03 G35's rack and pinion. I got it replaced, and immediately the "SLIP and VDC" came on. The steering wheel was little offf center after R&R of the rack so i had it aligned. VDC and SLIP are still on. a friend suggested to take it to dealer because he said the steering wheel sensor might of messed up. Any experiences to anyone on this?

 

You probably should but disconnect the battery real quick (30mins) and then drive the car around for 5 minutes to see if the lights go off. If that doesn't work is stealership time...

is it on right after you start the car, or it goes on once you start driving it?

The steering rack was not centered before it was connected to the steering joint OR your alignment is way off..

How many turns of the wheel do you get from Center to Full Left and Center to Full Right? They should be equal.

 

Just got a call from the dealer, they did a steering wheel sensor calibration. 95 bucks but problem fixed.

 

Does your steering wheel turn equally to the left and right?
