What adjustable parts do I need wtih Tien Street Basis coilovers
Hello all,
So I have a 2003 G35 Coupe. I would like to drop it just a hair, so I was looking at the Tien Basis coilovers. I believe these only drop at most 1 inch. But it appears that it will knock the alignment off enough that I think I might have to get adjustable components to bring the alignment back into specs. This is a street car, no track time will every be spent, and it's a daily driver.
So, the first question is do I have to get adjustable parts, like adjustable control arms and such, or not?
Second question is, what has been the long term with these? is it better just to get some replacement regular shocks and slightly lower springs?
Thanks

Yes you need a front and rear camber kit.
Front is just an adjustable FUCA
Rear is usually
-adjustable transverse link ("traction arm" one that faces forward but you just want to leave that at the same length as the OEM rod, you don't actually have to replace this one but it's usually included with all the rear kits)
-SPC / SPL toe bolts for the inboard side of the factory spring bucket
-adjustable camber rod with an eccentric bolt elimination kit
I went with this one from Z1 Motorsports

EDIT: Regardless of drop you need a camber kit, doesn't matter if you go coilovers or just different springs. If you lower the car you will need to put an adjustable camber kit on it, the stock front has NO CAMBER ADJUSTMENT WHATSOEVER. The rear adjustment could handle MAYBE 1/4" drop to get toe back in spec but even that's pushing the limits of the factory eccentric bolts.
