I'm at 204k miles on my 6 speed sedan. Last time I had anything done to it, the only thing they noted was the brakes (which I later did myself) and that I should probably think about getting the ball joints done. That was about 18 months ago and I just kinda forgot. So took it in for fluid changes, radiator flush, and the cruise control fixed, stuff I wanted done before road trip in a couple weeks. Because I waited so long, it didn't just need ball joints. Tie rods were worn and so were the rear control arms (the curved ones). Since my wife has decided I'm keeping my G35 forever since we went on our first date in it (and she just really likes the car) I went ahead and got everything done. Would have been easier to just have kept up with inspections so I didn't have to do it all at once. Glad I did though, suspensions degrade so slowly you don't notice it until you hear a lot of clunking, car won't drive straight or outright failure. Especially with larger anti-roll bars, 1" drop, still handles pretty well. But damn, now its crazy how tight the car feels. Steering response is quicker, tracks super straight, even on shitty roads it just feels better.
Everything they replaced was original to the car. Even on a Texas car, while we don't have rust issues, we do have hot summers, occasionally cold winters and some crappy roads, all which still deteriorate suspension parts. And our cars are old. So often when someone first gets a G35, everyone says to check the plugs, fluids, oil consumption, etc prior to doing mods. Go through your suspension too, make sure everything is up to snuff so you get the most out of the mods.
On the plus side, all the cruise needed was one of the little $3 pedal pads, I'd recently replaced the one for the clutch due to a no start condition (Z-1 has them while local dealers didn't) and had checked the cruise but the pad looked fine. Didn't realize there are two of them and the other one had disintegrated.
