pedals feel is the same.only calipers bite harder give you shorter stopping distance.

The modulation is very much still present.

A common misperception. Going with a BBK is not going to give you shorter stopping distances unless it's on the 10th stop where the smaller stock brakes would start to fade/overheat. The only advantage to the larger kits are heat capacity for repeated stops. (Oh yeah, you get some serious bling also .)

The weak link in modern cars braking ability is the tire, not the brakes themselves.

In fact, going to a larger BBK might actually hurt your stopping distances as the new, larger rotors are usually heavier (especially going from the non-brembo brakes to a large 14" kit) thus increasing rotational mass.

this is going from my personal experience.same car, same driver, same route, same driving habbit, difference brake kits.i wish i can prove it by using some measuring devices but the fact is i can't.
hey,you might be right.

Stoptech did their own test and concluded that there is no (statisitically significant) difference in stopping distances when the brakes aren't overheated. Seat of the pants is often misleading to everyone.

so you're saying by upgrade the BBK,there's no improve in performance? spending a few grands just for look? how about other companies? Brembo,Rotora,Wilwood,AP racing? if so,you might want to create a new thread and make it sticky.

I think the only way you can stop quicker is to go with more pistons like an 8 or 10 caliber piston brake system other than that the bigger rotors just dessipate more heat, better for the track or extended braking conditions. No matter the company! They still look bada**.

I have the AP Racing brakes from Stillen which I have had a few issues with. One is that the rear rotors sits outside of the brake dust cover which means my caliper sticks out a little further and in turn I need more offset and not so deep of a dish. The other problem I have is squealing of the brakes. I am going to change to a different brand of brake pads and see if that helps. Bottom line is if I had to do again I will go with stoptechs.
