Hey just throwing this out there but why couldn't you just get a large spacer and stick it in the spare wheel? Is it the issue that the donut rim is just too small or an offset issue? It seems that with a spacer, you could clear the calipur if that is the real issue. I was planning on going BBK soon myself so I am very interested in any responses.

Roja formular 7, 17x7. I don't know what off-set. I am guessing 45?You can see part of the wheel in this photo. It's forged one piece, weight 15lbs. I got a killer deal on ebay, actually made money by selling OEM 17x7 & get these on ebay. I am not sure they are still available on ebay.

There are quite a bit of room actually, might even fit 14" BBK. I do have 22mm spacer on with my BBK.

There are more room on this wheel than my 18x8 Piaa Super Rozza 50 offset.
Both spoke & rim clearance. Strange. Probably the wheel is designed to clear BBK?

Oh man... Those are the wheels I want. You didn't need a spacer to fit the BBK?

interesting point about using the spacer. could be something worth at least testing.

i might pull one of my wheels off, to see exactly what doesn't fit and where the problem rears its ugly head. hm. that sure is a good suggesion.

thinking out-loud... the doughnut should be quite a bit thinner than the regular wheel... by using a spacer, one should still have enough of a thread left, so the lug nuts secure the doughnut safely. now, i know what you're thinking - using a spacer increases the sheer forces on the wheel bolts - but then again, i would not expect someone who's driving on a doughnut to take corners at high speeds, or go above 60 on a highway, or do anything else stupid.

so, this is probably something worth figuring out.

My spacer is Kics 20mm Adaptor type, bolted on the hub & new bolts
is attached with the spacer. So I did not ty to fit it without a spacer.

I am guessing 10-15mm spacer might be needed, but if you order wheels with the correct low offset, you may not need it.

Question:

The 17" spare will fit over any stock rear brakes (incl the rear brembos) and probably some of the small rear BBK like the Stop-Tech 328mm ST22 setup - correct?

If you get a flat on a front tire couldn't you just move a good rear wheel to the front and put the spare on the rear where it should still fit?

The tire size is different but a short low-speed drive to a station should be ok and not mess up the LSD.

Of course folks with sick 13 and 14 inch 4 wheel BBK kits are still in trouble...

Great point. If I just get the front BBK, I could swap the wheels for a temporary fix. Thanks.
