I have 65,000 km on my '03 Coupe still under warranty until 80,000 km. Does anyone know if this TSB is covered under my warranty or will I need to pay anything? I brought my car in for a TSB regarding a rattle at 45,000km and the dealer made me pay a labour cost because I was past 12 months on the car. He said TSBs are not Recalls so I still have to pay to have the service done. Is that true?

Hey tdotG, your dealer ripped you off. Those repairs are done under warranty, there's no cost. Call infiniti consumer affairs and complain.

i have the same problem when i start to accelerate and same thing while getting on the brakes..i hear this freaking noise.. the noise is coming from the rear driver side.. i read this thread and there are many different solutions.. my car is no longer under warranty..

now what is the problem? is it the rotor making the noise? is it the Outer Axle Joint? or is it the Wheel Bearing?
OR
can i just replace the rear sway bar link?
OR
is it loose suspension parts?

can some one please respond and help me out

It sounds like you simply need the rear axle click TSB.

Mine is doing the same thing. So this is covered under TSB?
Either way i will need to get this fix because it's getting fkn annoying.
I still have about 15K left on the extended warranty so hopefully that
will cover it if it's not covered under the TSB.

G35 RECALLS & TSB's

[B]Here's a comprehensive list of G35 RECALLS & TSB's I found on a BMW forum.
Some guy on there was dissing the G35. But it kind'a backfired because several BMW guys who had G35's argued that they really liked the car & had very little trouble with their G's...

In the Four Years I had my G35 6mt Coupe, I had the 6 sp.manual trans. replaced, a window grease TSB & in for the Fuel Line recall. Besides that no problems with my G.
It was a Great Car and I wish I could have afforded to keep it but needed the down payment for our new BMW 335i convertible.

Anyway I thought this was some good info, just go down the list & see which ones might apply to your car...most all of these apply to "2002 & 2003 G35's"

Here are 6 major recalls. Nature of Defect:
1. FUEL:FUEL LINES:HOSES:NON-METALLIC Recall Number: 02V245000
Dates Manufactured: JAN 2002 to JUL 2002
Number of Vehicles Affected: 18300
Date Owners Notified On: SEP 2002

Vehicle: 2003 Infiniti G35
Defect Description:
THE FUEL HOSE CONNECTION FOR THE OUTLET OF THE FUEL PUMP WHICH IS LOCATED AT THE TOP OF THE FUEL TANK MAY NOT HAVE BEEN PROPERLY ATTACHED WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS ASSEMBLED AND COULD COME LOOSE WHILE DRIVING OR WHEN STARTING THE ENGINE.
Consequence of Defect:
IF THE CONNECTION COMES LOOSE WHILE DRIVING, THE ENGINE WILL STOP RUNNING DUE TO LACK OF FUEL, INCREASING THE RISK OF A CRASH. ALSO, IF THE CONNECTION COMES LOOSE WHILE DRIVING OR ATTEMPTING TO START OR RESTART THE ENGINE, SOME FUEL WILL DISCHARGE FROM THE FUEL PUMP. IF THIS SHOULD OCCUR IN THE PRESENCE OF AN EXTERNAL IGNITION SOURCE, A FIRE COULD RESULT.

Nature of Defect:
2. EXTERIOR LIGHTING:HEADLIGHTS Recall Number: 02V331000
Dates Manufactured: N/A to N/A
Number of Vehicles Affected: 36000
Date Owners Notified On: JAN 2003

Vehicle: 2003 Infiniti G35
Defect Description:
SEDANS FAIL TO COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF FEDERAL MOTOR VEHICLE SAFETY STANDARD NO. 108, -***244;LAMPS, REFLECTIVE DEVICES, AND ASSOCIATED EQUIPMENT.-***246; IN THE ASSEMBLY OF THE HEADLAMPS, IT IS NECESSARY TO HAVE A MEANS TO ADJUST THE HEADLAMPS. TAMPERPROOF CAPS TO PREVENT HORIZONTAL ADJUSTMENT OF THE HEADLAMPS ARE THEN INSTALLED. SOME OF THESE VEHICLES ARE MISSING THE TAMPERPROOF CAPS.

Nature of Defect:
3. SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC:SWITCHES:BRAKE LIGHT Recall Number: 03V200000
Dates Manufactured: AUG 2002 to MAR 2003
Number of Vehicles Affected: 60000
Date Owners Notified On: JUN 2003

Vehicle: 2003 Infiniti G35
Defect Description:
ON CERTAIN SEDAN AND COUPE MODEL VEHICLES, THE BRAKE STOP LAMP SWITCH MAY MALFUNCTION.
Consequence of Defect:
IF THIS OCCURS, THE BRAKE LAMPS WILL NOT ILLUMINATE WHEN THE BRAKE IS APPLIED, WHICH COULD RESULT IN A CRASH WITHOUT WARNING.

Nature of Defect:
4. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING Recall Number: 03V455000
Dates Manufactured: JAN 2002 to JUN 2002
Number of Vehicles Affected: 630000
Date Owners Notified On: N/A

Vehicle: 2003 Infiniti G35
Defect Description:
ON CERTAIN PASSENGER VEHICLES, THE CIRCUIT BOARD FOR THE CRANK POSITION SENSOR OR CAM POSITION SENSOR MAY HAVE AN IMPROPER SOLDER JOINT DUE TO SOLDER DEFORMATION CAUSED BY HEAT STRESS ACCELERATED BY THE EXISTENCE OF FLUX RESIDUE DURING THE SOLDERING PROCESS.
Consequence of Defect:
THIS COULD CAUSE THE "SERVICE ENGINE SOON" WARNING LIGHT TO COME ON, CREATE A NO START CONDITION, CAUSE REDUCED ENGINE POWER, OR CAUSE THE ENGINE TO STOP RUNNING WITHOUT WARNING DURING VEHICLE OPERATION, WHICH COULD RESULT IN A CRASH.

Nature of Defect:
5. FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE Recall Number: 05V555000
Dates Manufactured: NOV 2001 to OCT 2003
Number of Vehicles Affected: 192659
Date Owners Notified On: N/A

Vehicle: 2003 Infiniti G35
Defect Description:
ON CERTAIN PASSENGER AND SPORT UTILITY VEHICLES, THE FUEL FILLER HOSE MAY CRACK AND RESULT IN FUEL LEAKAGE FROM THE HOSE WHILE REFUELING.
Consequence of Defect:
FUEL LEAKAGE IN THE PRESENCE OF AN IGNITION SOURCE COULD RESULT IN A FIRE.

Nature of Defect:
6. EXTERIOR LIGHTING Recall Number: 06E060000
Dates Manufactured: N/A to N/A
Number of Vehicles Affected: 87745
Date Owners Notified On: N/A

Vehicle: 2003 Infiniti G35
Defect Description:
CERTAIN AAI MOTORSPORTS COMBINATION LAMPS SOLD AS REPLACEMENT LAMPS FOR USE ON THE ABOVE LIST PASSENGER VEHICLES. COMBINATION LAMPS NOT EQUIPPED WITH AMBER SIDE REFLECTORS FAIL TO CONFORM WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF FEDERAL MOTOR VEHICLE SAFETY STANDARD NO. 108, -***244;LAMPS, REFLECTIVE DEVICES, AND ASSOCIATED EQUIPMENT.-***246;
Consequence of Defect:
LACK OF AMBER SIDE REFLECTORS IN THE LAMPS WILL DECREASE LIGHTING VISIBILITY TO OTHER DRIVERS AND MAY POSSIBLY RESULT IN A VEHICLE CRASH

I have an 05' Coupe that I bought used with 38k and the clicking noise has been occurring since day one. I am bringing it in Monday morning for the dealer to take a look at it. I have read that some of you brought the TSB with you and I would like to do the same because my dealer sucks. If they can get away with just greasing rather than performing any replacement then they will. I tried the direct link above, but it brings me to a Nissan website that requires a password. Am I doing something wrong? Is there another way to get the TSB?

First of all let me say 'what's up guys?' First post here. I don't have a G35 but I do have the same problem with my 2003 M45.

To Sals G35 Coupe: So did you end up getting your G fixed? I also am out of warranty and curious to know if a TSB repair is no charge or not. As for your problem with that direct link, I also had that problem so this is what I did:

1. go to: http://www.infiniti-techinfo.com/
2. register on that site
3. log back in then in the left side select 'Technical Service Bulletins' from the drop down menu.
4. click on 'G35 (V35) 03-07' then 'RA - REAR AXLE & SUSPENSION'
5. Then you should see the service bulletin ITB5002

Hope this helped and I'm gonna call the dealer tomorrow and see what they say but if anyone knows if this TSB repair is free even though the warranty expired, please let me know, thanks in advance!

this forum is awesome... I just noticed the clicking today during acceleration from a stop. It was there months ago but I never bothered with it.. Did a search on the forum and got loads of information.

I'll be taking mines to the shop this week, thanks!!

I followed the TSB by greasing the axle end and the ticking/clicking noise is still noticeable. Should I try replacing the axle? I am also unsure if my rear wheel bearing is shot??
