Sounds great, Clint. Thanks for the update.
You planning on giving any of the stranglers one last chance to sign-up for this pre-order or are you officially closing it? Just want to update the guys on myG37 as well.

All the confirmed pre-order choice on disc finish is unanimously same as yours - OPEN SLOT- after we explained the advantage of this design, which is requoted here:
Here is the link for feature comparison on different disc finishes:
http://www.racingbrake.com/v/main/two_piece_compare.asp
The weight saving for a 14" disc is 0.6 lbs (open slot vs. close slot), but the advantage is far beyond the weight saving:
1. Open slot design allows the disc to expand and contract and prevents the disc from cracking or warping especially during the very rapid change of braking thermal cycles. It is the same idea as railroad track gaps between sections, and same reason to slit concrete slabs on a sidewalk to avoid cracking.
2. Increasing cooling area (vertical walls x 12) around the disc surface on both inboard and outboard which dissipates heat faster and keeps the disc temperature more uniform around the disc under any operating conditions – Street or extreme tracking.
3. The slots never clog up (or disappear when the disc wears out) like traditional surface slotting (see illustration on slotted finish). Those open slots are self-cleaning; the brake debris and dust are collected via a ditch and vented through the internal cooling vanes and exhausted via the rotor edge. Keeping the disc surface clean all the time allows brake pads in close and direct contact with disc surface, therefore improving the braking efficiency. In addition, there is minimal brake dust build up on wheels.
Our design is recognized and awarded by US Patent Office under Patent # 7097007. This design has been well tested under our project car (350Z) for years during development stages and many serious track racers (EVO, Z06, RX7 and RX8) after release have concluded that it’s probably the optimal disc finish in the performance industry.
Doc, thanks for your question.

Here is a comment from a G35 owner about RB two piece rotors.
I have had their BBK kit on for over 3 years and the 2 piece rotors are a pretty nice piece of work.

I just found this thread from a link on myg37.com (albeit a few days too late!) and am sorry I missed out because I am 100% down for this. Can I be the 1st alternate in case of people who change their mind or end up being deadbeats on the down payment? If so, I'm prepared to send down payment immediately (just PM me PayPal payment info) and if nobody drops out or fails to pay, you could just return my payment. Let me know.

Hey Jeremy. I posted that thread up on MyG37 to try and recruit a few extra buyers for Racing Brake, but unfortunately I haven't had a chance to update. You may want to PM the poster, Warren at Racing Brake, and chat with him directly to see if he can do anything for you. Or give Rick or Tony a call at Riverside Infiniti and try and get one of their sets. Tell them Adrian sent you and they should hook you up with a good deal.
