Price for New '07 Coupe

I got a price from a local dealer for an '07 coupe 6MT with Premium and Aero packages for $33,500.00 (MSRP was $38,771). Should I take it?

I dont think so. I got a 2006 with AT/aero/premium for 32,300 drive out. Not sure how much AT makes a difference though

Tonight I picked up my 07 DG Coupe!

It has 6mt, premium package, and xm radio.

The deal worked out like this...

38,240 msrp
34,989 invoice
33,790 paid

I also got a better trade in than the local dealers but I had to drive 60 miles to pick it up.

I assume that you when you said paid - this was out the door , $33,790? Which state do you reside in and what is your tax rate? Sounds like you got a really good deal.

Anytime there is a trade involved, I don't think you can use the new car's "sale price" as a gauge of how good a deal was. They are counting on making money off of your trade-in.

$1k below invoice with no strings attached would be unbelievable.

I'm pretty sure I could have got the same price with no trade in.

The dealership I purchased from also gave me about 2k more for my trade in than the local dealers were offering.

I was planning on purchasing an 05 or 06 used but with the deal I got I ended up with a NEW car for about the same price.
