06 g35, what's a good price to pay?

Hi all, future G35 owner here. I've been looking at this
What's a fair price for this car? Basically it is a fully loaded 06 without navigation. It has an extended warranty good for another 55k miles. It says the car is sold by private party, but I called him up and he's a car broker.

Thanks.

Mileage is extremely low for an '06, and the price is very high. I don't like KBB because I think it's usually too low. Most banks use NADA Guides for their financing. NADA and Edmunds both have it around $19.5K. His price is well above suggested retail of $24K. A quick Autotrader search shows numerous '06 Coupes out there that are far, far cheaper than this one, many below $18K. Keep looking. This guy has too many factual errors in his description to trust.

The automatic is rated at 280 HP, the manual 298, not quite the claimed 320. And they're both rate around 17/24 mpg, so I doubt it gets 28 mpg. As to the warranty, it should still be under the 4 year/60K bumper to bumper, and he says "55,000 more", which added to the 16K on the car gets you to the 6 year/70K power train warranty. That's not an "extended" warranty, it comes with all G35's.

Stay away from this guy. He's looking for a moron to buy his car, which you clearly are not.

How do you figure the mileage is extremely low with 55k on it for a 2-3 year old car???

Thanks all. The car looks to be very clean. It has the 19" wheels and an extended warranty, so I figured that would justify him asking 1-2k more than other similar models. But yeah, his asking price is ridiculous, I've been seeing this add for almost two months and still hasn't sold. He seemed reluctant when I offerred 23k, and he never called me back. Oh well, I'll keep looking.

That car does not have an "extended" warranty of any kind. It's the standard warranty that comes with every G35. And the prices I quoted from NADA and Edmunds included the 19" wheels. That 1-2K you mention is a premium above and beyond what you should pay.

And $23K is still WAY too high. If he's not biting, then look elsewhere. There are plenty of G35 Coupes out there for far less money. Just do a basic search on AutoTrader and you'll see. If you want to save any money, then you have to be patient, and walk away if the deal isn't what you want.

I've said my piece. I think you'll be wasting money spending more than $21.5K, but it's your money.

I've been looking on autotrader, here's a link with specific search options I put in. The first 2 looks fishy, so there's only 1 car that's under 20k, all the others are above 20k. I would love to get one for 18K, but is that realistic?

Edit: I would say 23k is fair. But in this economy, you can probably find better deals.

An 06 with everything but NAV with around 30k miles usually runs for very low 20's.
