Buying a QX4
I am going to try and pick one of these up for winter next year and I was wondering if anyone knows if there's good or bad years, heavy problems or what? I love the vehicle it looks wicked.
Price range is about $5000 tops Canadian and I've found a few they have about 100,000 Miles or so. Should I just buy a dumb domestic truck? or should I give the import SUV a shot?
Couldn't find anywhere else to post this since we don't have an open "other infiniti" section.
Thanks!

I had a 01 Pathfinder several years ago and really liked it. It had the 3.5L engine with 240HP and very reliable. I would buy another as a utility vehicle in a heartbeat.
I used to have an 03 QX4 and it is very solidly built and I sometimes feel the build quality of that truck was better than the FX I have now. Absolutely no issues with it when I got rid of it.

Alright good to hear, I don't need to find it yet but in the next few months when it starts getting too cold for my G, I'll start to look.

You might think about a purchase before it starts to get cold. I have noticed that prices fluctuate with the seasons for SUV's like it does for the G's. There has been a dramatic increase in prices for G's in Tx in the last 2 months. The prevailing theory is that it's more of a summer car than a winter car, so when demand goes up so do prices.
The inverse is true with the SUV's. When I sold the Pathfinder, I could have made ~ $1500 more for it if I waited a couple of months to sell it. But, I was dying to get back into a Maxima then and wanted to have it for the summer months.
Just my .02...........

Oh for sure, I saw that last year when I considered taking my Cadillac off he road for the winter, I looked at Silverado 4X4s in about august and they were dirt cheap, then I looked again around November and they were all up about $2000 so I decided I'd drive the Cadillac and buy a G when the summer came.
Worked out well if you ask me.
