Pretty good price for CPO?

Hi all, I've been looking at acquiring a g35 coupes for sometime now, and I've been looking at a Certified Pre-owned 2007 G35 coupe. They want $24,392 for it and it has 39K miles located at austin infiniti. I'm not sure if this is a good deal on a 2007 and was wondering if anyone has had luck getting a dealer's price down on a CPO car before. I have also provided the link:

Thanks

Based on prices in my area that's a reasonable asking price, but I don't see which equipment the one you're considering has.

Did you search similar sales in your area to see how it compares.

There's a 6MT here in Everett with Navigation and 24K on the ODO for $26K.

http://seattle.ebayclassifieds.com/c...a/?ad=10057621

How does that compare?

Rightly or wrongly I don't put a whole lot of faith in the CPO moniker. For me, on a low mile car, it's a nice way for the dealer to tack on a few extra dollars and run the risk/no risk of having to service the car. As reliable as these cars are, major repairs are unlikely to happen during the period they warranty the car so..

I bought my sedan at Gunn just down the road from where you're looking back in 04..

I think the reason that I was considering the CPO program in the first place was I believe the "basic" warranty gets extended two years, but I could be mistaken. From what I understand basic would cover electronics issues and since its an AT, I have less chance of having OC issues. I've also gone by Gunn Infiniti and looked for any used g35's but now all they have on the lot are 2008+ coupes. I agreed to test drive a G37S and the interior is nicer than the g35, but I still keep coming back to that more aggressive look of the G35. I guess it's the piece of mind for me with the CPO program.

Also, I looked on the site again and its got these options/features:

Heated Leather Seats,Multi-CD Changer,Aluminum Wheels : Keyless Start. MP3 Player,Remote Trunk Release,Keyless Entry,Steering Wheel Controls,Heated Mirrors. (from site)

It also has performance tire and wheel package, power sunroof, trunk mat, and splash guards.

I was thinking it might just be better to see how low I can get it, if possible, and then get an IEEPP warranty later when the CPO extended warranty is about to run out(two years later). Not sure though, this is my first time buying a car and I have some cash to put down on it to help lower the payments. Any other suggestions what I should do besides test driving it? Thanks

HOLY SH*T. That is a horrible price.

I am selling my G37 for 25k. Also mine is sport, fully loaded with every option and less miles.

Yup CPO basic warranty then when that expires you get a extra 2 year warranty. I think it's totally worth it since I recently purchased a g37s CPO and had the steering wheel replaced my side handles the whole side door planel and the top piece dash for the cluster and also a new driver seat since it has a weird bubble going on. It's a piece of mind. I wouldn't ever purchase from one of those small dealers since they're pretty much all shady. Also wouldn't purchase from a private seller either since everything sold from a them is sold AS IS which means if you don't have anyone inspect it before you buy you are totally ******.

One thing nice about CPO is the car has to be up to spec which means new tires, new brakes and everything that needs to be done has been done.

Also if you don't want the extra warranty I'm pretty sure they can refund you on that.

Yeah, I also thought about purchasing from a private seller, but if I want to get some kind of IEEPP warranty then I still have to pay for the pre-inspection at a dealer. Even then I think they can still deny it warranty coverage if they don't like something about the car. Don't get me wrong, I could probably get a very decent G35 for around 20k, but I would still like some kind of warranty. I am finally able to afford a G35, and now they're almost all out of warranty. This CPO deal might be one of my last chances.

I plan to go up there next weekend to look at that car and see what my options are. I think I might see if the dealer can also tint the windows for me at no charge if I end up getting it.

Oh, and the one I've looked at that I would consider getting from a private seller is this one:

http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.js...e&rdpage=thumb

I just have to run the VIN through autocheck.
VIN:JNKCV54E36M700578

This one actually has all the options I want for a G35 as well. Looks ok on the outside, but I know looks can be deceiving.

Any advice?
