my bad experience with infiniti fairfield
sorry i dont know if this is the right section to post this in.
but heres my bad experience with infiniti of fairfield located in california. everywhere ive searched people have had good experiences with them but for me it was total opposite
i bought a 2011 malbec black infiniti g37s sedan limited edition from this dealership used with 17000 miles on it and i imported it to canada. after the vehicle got here i noticed theres only 1 fob no spare. and there is no wheel lock key. and the key inside the only fob isnt even cut and plus the only fob has a nissan logo on it but that doesnt matter that much to me as long as it works.
but the fact of the matter is i paid $45,000 for this car taxes and shipping included i would expect everything to be perfect condition. i get that the first owner may have given only 1 key to them but the dealership should go and provide a spare and make sure the wheel lock key is there.
the car itself drives okay there is brake pedal shudder and wind noise from the front windsheild.
anyways i decide to call this dealership to tell them about this and there sales department never seems to pick up there phone or even if you leave a voicemail they wont get back to you. i even tried emailing them and nothing. so last friday i decided to tell the operator i want to speak to the sales manager and i told him my problem. he told me he would look into this and get back to me he took my name and number down. its tuesday now and seriously it doesnt take that long to look for a spare key and wheel lock and even a phone call with an update wouldve been good.
overall i wouldnt recommend anyone to buy a car from infiniti of fairfield. pics at the bottom of the fob i got with no cut key. i am going to keep fighting to make this right. even if in the end it involves me to take a 14 hour drive down there.
anyways what do you guys recommend i do with this??

I kind of agree with you, paying that much, you should have 2 working FOB's INFINITI not Nissan logo'd and having wheel lock in vehicle, however if you got the books, you should have a tag inside there from McGuard with the code to get your wheel lock replacement, but yeah, I can't believe the key was not cut, although most people never use thier key portion, some wouldn't think it a big deal.... but I happen to agree with you, I would e-mail the GM of the dealership and advise him of your current situation and how you feel you've been treated so far, might go the extra mile, then again might not do any good.... GL!

infiniti care representative on myg37 just saw my thread there too and pm'ed me and i think he informed the general manager of that dealership of everything and the general manager messaged me and wants to fix everything so hopefully this issue will get resolved quickly
When I got my car there was lots of dumb issues like this, that the dealer should of done, Best thing we did was get Infiniti of NA involved. The GM took care of us, for instance I had the same issue about the key not being cut, when I was there getting some complimentary service for the issues, I went to ask about my key.
My salesman says "Its going to cost xx amount" we walk to the GM and ask, he says "No problem we will take care of it, does it need a new battery? What ever change it anyway"
So I think you will be fine. Enjoy the new G
