To buy, or not to buy...

So I've come across a 2006 G35 Sedan 6MT premium model grey on black leather with only 55,000 miles on it. I went and looked at the car it runs & drives great but for having low miles it is a little beat up condition, nicks and scratches on the outside/inside and also it had about $5k damage to the driver side door area from previous owner. My only question is...how often will I come across another 05-06 6mt sedan?? I'm in Canada BTW and the car is, in fact an American car. I just don't want to pass up on a Gem.

They are asking $16,000 CDN

Im sure you will find plenty more 6mt 05-06's. I got my 05 6mt for 11,350. It was in an accident and it runs and drives great. If you won't absolutely love the car, don't get it.

Thanks man I looked at it again and it wasn't up to my standards lol and they were giving me next to nothing for my car as a trade in. Will keep my eyes open for another one though!

I'm in Canada too... you'll find plenty around at better prices and condition even if it has slightly more mileage... especially if you're in Toronto.

In my opinion i think you should wait for another car. You don't really want spend $16,000 for the car and than you have to spend another large sum to get the exterior up to your standards. Im in ontario and theres usually good deals around here, especially in the GTA area.

I agree on the waiting part. I waited around a year until I found my G finally for the right price. Mine is a 03 Coupe 6MT got it for under what the sedan is going for and I got it at 45k on the odo with a clean title. Deals are out there you just need to play the waiting game. Good luck, hope you find what you are looking for.

Remember '06 MT is a rev up engine I think and that means oil consumption. Which you won't be able to tell from a test drive alone.

I don't own a revup version but is the oil consumption that big of a deal as that lots of them are having this issue?
