Buying - 05 G35 Coupe AT

http://www.ankromauto.com/2005_Infin..._153336788.veh

Looking at finally buying a car I can have fun with...

Current Car is a 09 Honda Civic and before was a 06 Honda Accord.
I'm accustomed to a very low maintenance vehicle with outstanding gas milage. Oh and every other commuter driving the exact same thing as me.

I've read thru lots of this forum and it has helped significantly, but need some advice if you've got a minute.

First the obvious - is this a good deal for a loaded up 05 G35?

What kind of things should I look for / listen for when I go see and test drive it?

And I've seen mixed notations about what kind of gas to put in... does it take regular or should I only use Premium?

Any comments are well appreciated.

Decent price...below KBB retail and NADA guides retail. Looks really clean, also. Couldn't see any curb rash on the tires and the dreaded driver's seat tear doesn't even look that bad.
How do the extra set of wheels look? I would check to make sure that there are no issues with the electronics. Check the nav operation and raising it up and down. Play a CD in the stereo. A lot of electric gremlins can pop up on this year G. Remember, no iPod hookup, aux jack or bluetooth.
Also, would check maintenance records. See what has and hasn't been done. 60k service could get pricey with oil change, coolant flush, trans and differential flushes unless you do some work yourself.
Good luck from a fellow 2005 G35 buyer.

Good for you. 6 months ago I paid $16,200 for my 05 coupe with 52k miles.
The price at the dealer is a good starting price since the range for these cars is 18-21k. This one has nav, lip spoiler and an extra set of wheels, so if the OP can talk the dealer down even better.

appreciate the feedback - haven't seen the extra set of wheels yet. have emailed them back to see if they can provide a picture.
Obviously prices vary by region, California/Florida are almost always cheaper, oh and Texas... why?
Because there are tons more of them due to the fact there's almost never snow there.

Will let you know how it goes, plan on going to see it Thursday.

Went and test drove it - first time driving a G35 and can't believe I didn't get one sooner. Amazing pick up from a roll and features a luxury car should have. Starting to research how to update the navi system is quite a turnoff though.

Hoping to pick it up tonight, and for those curious I managed to get the price down to around $17k.
Would say I'd put up pictures, but every inch is covered in that listing for now.

Extra Wheels were listed incorrectly. They were just an extra set of tires.

On the car now
Bridgestone Blizzak LM-60's - look nearly brand new

Spare Set going on Tuesday
Hankook Ventus V12 EVO's - look like they may last 2 years. maybe.

Did get lucky and the Nav DVD is the 6.9 - updated 2010.
Enjoyed the car all morning long, just wish I could put the windows down and hear more exhaust noises. It's 94, I need the a/c blasting.

Well, not too shabby that you have a set of winter tires now....if you need them. Glad you're enjoying it and at least you know that the AC is working
