I gave a $20/pair 4300k TRS ACME H1 bulbs a shot but one blew after 3 months when I upped its power to 55W so I won't recommend those, although on 35W the light output is excellent with a nice colorful cutoff on my aftermarket projectors.

That is one nice car. Amazing find!
Thanks for the tips, that's good to know about Morimoto as a backup if swapping the bulbs proves one of mine is out. Would be right to assume these are the correct ones? It shows $50 on the site (still a great price), just wanted to confirm.

I'm actually not sure the OEM bulb size, I've got aftermarket h1 projectors.

Well, everything I've read says it's a D2R for the 2003-2005. I assume it should drop right in but I'll do some more research. Thanks!

2003-2005 G35 w/HID: D2R (Low Beam), H4/9003 (High Beam), Fogs (H4/9003)

In that case you are correct, it'll fit. D2R is D2R!

D2R is for headlights with a reflector.

D2S is for headlights with projectors.

They will both fit but the D2R has a metal plate on one side to block the light beam on that side.

You shouldn't use D2S in a reflector set up it will have major glare. Nice ride.
