HEY Bigguy,
MSRP minus 8% is just north of invoice. How'd you negotiate such a great price on a 2006?

Im waiting for someone to post a bill of sale for these great deals you guys are announcing. If in fact I can get a 06' G for 7% off MSRP I'll be at the dealership ASAP. Anyone interested in buying a modded 02' LS1 let me know. :-)

Dont know about BigGuy's deal ( I am curious also ), but I got 2% over invoice( which came out to 500$ -700$ over invoice depending on the car) cuz we ordered 4 cars together. I have the paperwork, but no scanner. Maybe one of the other guys can post it. But if you dont believe you can call North Houston Infiniti and ask them Originally Posted by d4nnie13oy

Since you are in L.A. you should be able to find quite a few people wanting to buy the G35 seeing how popular they are over there. Check out local msg boards or on G35 driver and find a few people who want to get an Infniti. Thats how I found the other 3 guys ( all on this board ).Thats about the only hope of getting near invoice other than VPP on an 06. But if you cant, it helps to know all the details about the car and go in expecting a reasonable deal. If I was alone I wouldnt have asked for more than a couple % off msrp.Registered User
Are you kidding me?
Get the best deal that you can. Who cares what the dealership is making. What? you want to work an extra week (for an avg. person it's $1,000) so that the car dealership people can go golfing on Pebble Beach? That's absurd, it's how much you're spending that is important. Car dealership and car salespeople make money on volume. So, sell more cars at a lower cost and you can still go golfing.
paid $1,500 under invoice for a '05 coupe with premium. $32,000. MSRP was $36,670. Now I can take that $1,000 and go to Pebbe Beach myself.

Would you happen to be in Cali. And is that a AT you got. Can't imagine you got a MT for $1500 under invoice. Either way great deal!!Originally Posted by raysmd

you have to be careful because how can you stay in business if you don't make any money. as a salesman i obviously work off of commission and selling it at invoice or under just hurts myself. i earned a lot of customers due to me being very polite, making them comfortable, and being honest in the product. some dealers will charge you fees to get you back up close to invoice anyways. either way, i'm here to help anyone looking for a new infiniti but if you are trying to get invoice price information it is hard to obtain it just the fact that some dealerships order cars with extra equipment or accessories. the best thing i can say is if you get an offer e-mail me or contact me i'll try to beat it but do be careful if you get charged fees because here at Infiniti of Massapequa we don't do that. best of luck

I am in sales (not car sales), and I can tell you that people that sell on price most often lose. You should sell on product, service, and then price. If your selling and making pennies on the profit something is going to suffer. I am not saying I want to over pay for things, but I have better things to do than to walk around in life trying to nickel and dime everything I buy. If the price is fair and I want the product, I buy it and call it a day. I don't have time to go from dealer to dealer, while emailing people back on forth trying to save $1000. And don't give me any of that chit that it only took 1 hour to negoatiate $1000 under invoice. I have owned over 20 cars in my life time and every time I buy a car it takes a whole day for the process, not even considering the negotiating part, but just for the paper work and chit. I guess some people are into negotiating and get their rocks off doing so, but no thanks, I have better things to do with my time.

I guess everyone is different. For me, I know what car I want after exhaustive research. Rarely does that entail going to the dealer for information. I go to the dealer to negotiate a price and that is it--no time wasted. Is taking inventory of the car and handing it over to you worth $1k? ...$2k or more? That is highway robbery. The dealer does very little for your sale and you are willing to fork good money over?! You already pay destination and prep charges, why get ripped off thousands more for nothing? Service and Warranty are separate issues and the dealer will make his own for providing those.
Last car I bought (2k4 WRX), I made two emails and two calls to the dealer that was even bothering to negotiate and got a great deal, had the car trucked in for $200 from a nearby city, and it was totally painless. I have no contact with that dealer since nor do I plan to.

either way -- if we hvae it in stock or we have to locate and order a vehicle it is still the same price to play with.
