hi im a newbie to this forum, but i was wondering if people think $29,990 for an 04 g35c 6MT with 21,000 miles sounds reasonable? it pretty much has all the factory options except navi. according to edmunds it seemed decent. the car is in very good condition and has new wheels and tires on them too. the brembos seem strong and i didnt hear any squeals. i was just wondering what other people thought.

Hi!

I would also say no...I picked up a new 06 w/ all but Nav (incld active steer) for $35.5K. It was the VPP price, but depending on location, seems some folks are doing even better without VPP.

Personally, I think you can often get a better price from a dealer as opposed to private party. Dealers picking up cars from auctions and/or trade-in's are paying thousands less than what KBB would give you as trade value.

What's worked for me as a good rule of thumb in negotiating with dealerships is to split the difference between "Excellent" and "Good" conditions on KBB's Trade-In value. A few hundred dollars above or below should net you the car.

Happy hunting!

I bought my '05 g35 coupe for only $29700 with 12k miles. It has every option except nav and the body is in near mint condition with minor rock chips on the front bumper.
I consider myself lucky finding this one for this price. The seller had to make a quick sale because he had to move back to his country so he didn't want to bother negotiating with price.
Don't buy from used car dealerships. Obviously they overprice the g35s.

Like how blazinZ stated, keep looking and you're bound to find a good deal from a private seller.

ask them to lower the price, you can negotiate well with a dealer on used cars..

I bought 04 6MT black G35C 25k miles with all options besides spoiler and nav for $24,500 and sticker price was 29k

also had brand new tires but not new wheels

That is way to expensive...
Check around and see what other g's are selling for. If you are willing to pay almost 30k, I would bye a new g.
Good luck.

thanks everybody for the replies. ive checked autotrader and craigslist and havent seen anything worthwhile. i must say it seems alot of people here really know how to bargain well. the bad thing is i live in the northwest and there arent many dealerships here. the 06 6mt i believe has a msrp around 34k but that is with no options. loaded without navi would push it up to 38k. im no baller so both those numbers are a little high for me. from what ive seen the price seemed decent for this fairly new car with many options and bigger wheels. there are some paint chips but the dealer said they were willing to fix those for free. i understand the price isnt dirt cheap but its not exactly a rip off right? someone please agree with me. but i am curious as to how other people seemed to get their cars so much cheaper? i need to hangout with you guys/gals.
