I switched from Wawanesa last year and save over $800 a year between my G and my home policy. I found them to be expensive after starting to shop around.

Same here.

I was with Wawa and paid almost $2000/year. I switched to the Personal this year (I believe they only do group insurance now), and dropped $500 off my yearly rate.

At the time, I had taken Wawa because they supposedly had this 1 accident for free policy (i.e. if you get into an accident, regardless of fault, your premiums wont change). Fortunately, I never had to take advantage of the policy.

33, and pay $1500/year

Thanks - I'll have to get my broker to shop around when I turn the Odyssey in off lease this coming December.

We went with them because my wife knows someone and our house/vehicles are tied into the same policy.

It may not be the best deal - but we are pretty confident that if we ever had a home/auto claim that it would be handled properly without trying to put the screws to us.

Still - it's worth a polite prod at renewal time! Thanks!

Hmmm, I'm with Monnex and been with them forever.

1450/yr - Richmond Hill, Drive to Work, $500 Ded.
800/yr - wife's minivan, pleasure, $500 Ded.
Home Insurance with them too to save 5%.

38 Yrs Old...with PEO or UofT Alumni discount (I believe they are both the same).

I inquired awhile ago why some are getting better rates and younger...are some of you piggy backing on a parent's plan or something? If not, I better switch.

I have a clean record and no claims.
