Karen and I were going to take the one hour drive to join in the festive occassions in Wiarton today, but she could not get the day off.
So I anxiously sat by the TV to listen for WW to make his forecast at 8 AM this morning.

Well people it's official, Canada's most reliable weather forecaster Wiarton Willie did not see his shadow at 8 AM this morning so he has predicted an early spring. The Albino forecaster has proven to be the most reliable forecaster around.


Wiarton Willie, Canada's best-known four-legged forecaster, is predicting an early end to a winter many Canadians are still waiting to see.

The pudgy white woodchuck failed to see his shadow on Groundhog Day in the central Ontario town.

Shubenacadie Sam, Nova Scotia's most famous weather-forecasting rat, also predicted an early spring.

And Manitoba Merv agrees. He emerged from his den shortly after dawn, looked around, and retreated back inside. Only then did he predict that Manitoba will have an early spring.

Since all these furry experts made their bold predictions, we've had -20 and snow every day. Lesson: never trust a rat. On the other hand, we're supposed to get a chinook by Thursday, +9 in the sunshine. 'Scuse me while I run out to Canadian Tire and buy a case of WW fluid...

I just picked up a case at Costco for $7.50 Apparently Calgary has been pounded with 5 times the average snowfall for February this year and the month is less than half over.

 

At least you are running AWD, you lucky mutt. RWD + Toyo Proxes TPT's + record snowfall = Swiv losing more hair than he already has.

Costco, great idea, maybe I will run into you there. Hey while we're on the subject, is that the best place to buy synth oil? And where in Calgary is the best place to buy high-quality oil filters?

Ever try the Rain-X WW fluid? A bit $$$, but well worth it since it keeps the Rain-X working much longer.

PS: Give me more snow - I'm trying to see if it's possible to get the X stuck.

 

The AWD with Toyo Garit KX tires I'm almost falling asleep at the wheel, this weather is BORING. I've always just used regular dino juice in my cars due to the many mixed results I have heard from using synthetic oil. I'm just going to add some power up to the oil, that stuff is amazing but damn expensive at about $60 a quart.

I'll do a look up how to do a snow dance for you if you agree to come and clean my driveway if it works I think it will be pretty tough to get this thing stuck.

I've never used Rain-x, but I have given it some thought. In this weather I think I'm better off using the cheap stuff, when a chinook rolls in I can use a whole bottle up in a day. I'll keep the Rain-X in mind for the spring (I hear it's coming early).
