Lowering springs.

I am in the process of selecting lowering springs for my 06 G35 sedan with sport and premium packages.
I have the OEM front lip installed and am looking for a level drop all around no greater than 1.2 inches at the front. I want a drop that will not require any camber kits, thus the 1 to 1.2 inch drop. I am looking at the Eibach Pro-Kit for the RWD G35 sedan or Tein H-Techs. I would like to know which spring set would give a level drop as well as maintain a close to factory sport suspension ride?
I have searched the forums extensively and have found extremely useful information, which has allowed me to narrow my selection to the above-mentioned brands and spring specifications. Any additional information as well as pictures would be most appreciated.
Eibach Pro-Kit http://eibach.com/cgi-bin/htmlos.exe...00915500018622
Tein H-Techs http://www.tein.com/ti/p14.html

Thanks.

I'm running Eibachs' Pro Kit on my 03' sedan but I still had to have a camber kit for the rear(SPC).

Have you looked at a 350Z spring swap?

Eibach's are right on the threshold....
Some work out OK & some need the adjustment.

On my car I needed front camber, but back was OK.

To 35bills or inTgr8r, does the Eibach Pro-Kit give an even drop front and rear or is the car canted forward? The Tein H-Techs are 1.38" in the front and .67" in the rear while the Eibach Pro-Kit is 1.1” front and rear. I obviously would prefer an even drop front and rear. I was Agincourt Infiniti getting the 10K service today I actually have 9566 Km on my odometer, I enquired about the cost and the procedure of installing lowering springs on my car.
The cost is $515 for installation and $149 for the 4-wheel alignment afterward. I was told that I would only require a single alignment session directly after the springs are installed. I have the preferred customer Infiniti gold card so I get a 10% reduction on labor at Agincourt Infiniti. Does the quoted installation price coincide with what is charged at other well-respected and skilled garages?

I live out in Ajax so I would rather not have to make the long drive out to Newmarket to go to Simone Performance.

I am also running the Eibach Pro-Kit and the drop looks to be quite even all the way around. The 4-wheel alignment at Simone Performance is cheaper.

The proper way to go is to get an alignment right away and then get the alignment checked again approx. 2 weeks later after the springs have had a chance to settle.

I also have the SPC front and rear camber kit, will save on tire wear in the long run.

I live in Scarborough and make the trek out to Simone Performance, worth the trip knowing the job will get done properly the first time.

When I had my springs installed, we ran into a few problems with the upper mount on the shock tower. It was seized and could not be removed normally. Vic had to cut it off and order me a new upper mount.

He mentioned that the older G35's have issues with bolts seizing. My car has been especially bad in that department.

The quoted price by Agincourt doesn't sound so bad vs their $90/hr labor rate vs $65 at Simones.

I will get back to you tomorrow about the price I paid at Simone including a 4 wheel alignment and the installation of a rear camber kit.

I will try to take some pics of my car with the drop.

Bill

+1 on that, I had problems with the siezed bolts on the topmount.

I don't think it would be a problem with yours since it's newer. 350z/coupe was what I went with and I'm happy with the drop since the fronts initially have a bigger gap in the front.

I was same as you, looking for a subtle drop that didn't mess with the cambers. I went with the Nismo S-Tune V35 JDM Suspension kit. It will give you an all around 1.2" drop. I don't have pics but here is one Hybrid_DET sent me when I was researching it: http://i94.photobucket.com/albums/l1.../th_stune1.jpg That pic is pretty accurate of the drop. Mine is identical at the front but rear is lower due to my audio setup. Will prob swap rear springs back for my OEM sports spring to even it out. Just throwing this out there as a possible option for you.

I've said this before and I'll say it again Factoring in gas and everything... It's $till worth the drive to Newmarket to see Vic at Simone Performance.

Thanks to everyone for the dissemination of valuable information. I have decided to go with the Eibach Pro-Kit and if needed the Intense Power rear camber links. I am also ordering the roof mounted spoiler to finish off my targeted look for my sedan.

Yeah.... but you have contacts..

Normally springs should run ~$50 /corner + alignment ~$125
