Hmm, this whole warm-place-G-meet thing sounds mighty inviting. We've been considering a trip down there anyway...

I dont mind the cold at all, what really gets at me, are these short winter days. Barely 10 hours of sunlight.

I was noting this morning that they are barely beginning to get longer.

Karen and I noticed it was staying light longer at dinner time. Always a good sign .

^We're experiencing nearly 1 hour of extra daylight now versus third week of December. Definitely a great feeling.

Good point, Deane and Wayne....Longer daylight hours and later into the afternoon/evening...... A good sign....
The sun is setting later by about 1.5 minutes average per day......Won't be long before spring and the clocks 'jump' ahead again on March 9th, and spring is March 20th....

I see you are in Winnipeg so I am not sure what meets are planned in that area, however a few of us have had a G meet during the summer months the last couple of years. Two years ago, we met in NB and last year we did a tour of the Gaspe Peninsula and old Quebec city. We are planning another G meet this summer, however it hasn't been decided where yet.

We'd love to have you along for this year's meet wherever it might be.

Wow, yeah, I'd to be kept posted on that. What was the number of women drivers who were involved in the past meetups? In any case, definitely keep me posted, I would love to see if I could make it. Obviously it would depend on when as I'm a realtor so I'm sorta pressed for time.

We'll keep you posted on this summer's G meet. All the wives tagged along for last year's trip however none of them drove. I don't think us guys wanted to give up the driver's seat whatsoever.

LOL, I remember that thread Christian. This winter has been the complete opposite of last winter. We got barely any snow last year and I could see my lawn pretty much the entire winter....I haven't seen my lawn this year since early December.

LOL, Shane you forgot about the "official" G meet in Lake Placid, NY two summers ago. Trouble is only 2 members and their wife's attended!

Yeah and the way it is now who knows if it's going to expose lawn before April. This week looks a lot warmer here and some rain on a couple of days. Maybe that will rid a lot of this white stuff.
