Angry Rust on inner door panel...

I was cleaning my car today and I noticed something orangy red on the door panels and I thought it was just some random crap stuck on my car so I gave it about 6-7 past with my clay bar; nothing. I then came to the dreaded conclusion my car had cancer...

I don't have any pictures of it but here is where it is:

It is both on door panels. I should clarify that is not actually on the door but on the vehicle body which is an inch away from the door.

I remember some of you guys have had rust issues but is this the same problem and should it be covered by Infiniti?

Thanks...

Judging by the seat you must not be very tall!

depends on yr of your car and where rust is coming from. I believe if it's coming from inside (behind the paint) out, it's perforation rust which is covered 10yrs (extened from 7 yrs). Not sure hwo long surface rust is covered for though.

i have rust on my passenger door, along the bottom, near the front of the door. i still need to take it to a nissan dealership to see if they will cover it...

apparently the rust needs to start from the inside, go all the way through the door, and there must be a visible hole before they will repair. i am afraid that they will paint the door only, as they did with g-man's car, and then may not match.

I had 3 doors replaced, 2 of them had rust marks running down the inside but no visible bubbles. They should not paint the door only, they should be blending it in. In my case, both complete sides of the car was basically painted/blended in.

Guelph Infiniti who contracts Golden Triangle Collision to do their warranty work. I had to go back 3x to get everything fixed to my liking (a bit of dirt/overspray, broken clips etc.). But in the end, it was a decent paint job.

I am about avg height, but I prefer my seat way the heck up as if I am driving a truck. I never had it like this until this past week, and I flat out prefer the driving position/

Haha. I hope the advil will help but I think what my G needs is some smooth syntethic 0W30 oil and a nice hand wash to get the cancer off its mind. And yeah; my driving seat is still the hell up there but I haven't hit a curb yet .

Here are some pics; kinda bad but best I can do until I come home from work.

It looks to me, like the door adjustment (too tight) has left a leading edge that gets sandblasted.
