Agree with what you're saying here other than the "cost" of the commute. You can't work it out equivalent to salary since it isn't actually an expense and being paid out. That's a large percent of the total cost you showed.

However I do agree the point is that it's worth a lot as personal time.

+1, go for the schooling, I hate commuting to work and even though my PT job is commuting, I absolutely hate driving the distance to work. Time is $ unless they are paying for your travel time.
