We have BBQ


Arrangements have been made with the local Lions club to put on a BBQ lunch for us at the meet.
The Lions donate all proceeds from the BBQ to:
Southlake Hospital in Newmarket. - CANCER Unit

There will be several other SURPRISE! things happening.

This will be THE kick azz meet that will be talked about for a loooooooong time.

but I'll run it up the flag pole with him.

 

That would be great to have another detailing meet. I really enjoyed the last one.

The other consideration would be a venue.
If you have any ideas or now a place, please let us know.
I would have been happy to host it at our place of business except there's only a small bay,
& the yard is gravel.

It was great, Kevin sure helped a lot of us with the fundamentals of good detailing.
I think it was one of the best meets we've had.

 

Hi guys! Ian, I got your e-mail; I've been keeping up with the forum going's on, just haven't been posting much. I am sure we can arrange a meet some time this year. It'll certainly be a nice break between details! If we can find a appropriate venue then you can consider me in, when/if we do find a venue we can work on a date. I'd say requirements for venue would be a place where we can park 20+ cars, an indoor area and access to water and power. Everything else (food, drinks, detailing stuff etc...) we can take care of ourselves.

Kevin the Detailing Guru and Sam the Student working on Sam's car. It turned out beautiful.

 

This sounds like an awesome idea. I've been wanting to get my car detailed for so long.

 

With the number of members now..... this could be one of the all time GREAT meets!!!


BUT!

The big sticking point will be to come up with a good venue.

Come on guys... who do you know that has a place?

 

if we're doing this soon I hope it's indoors if we're organizing an outdoor detail meet a warm day in spring would be good. If we wait till spring we can do it on a saturday at my place. tons of parking in a private driveway BUT I live north of Barrie... so if you wanna hit up Wasaga it's on the way

 

yea but how many car's can we actually get done with a 2-3 hour job on each "G" ...

no.... not soon. This is an après event for sure.

Kevin is one busy dude, & we need to give him lots of time to slot this into his schedule.
It will also take time to get a venue organized.

Thanks for the venue offer, but in order to allow the max time for detailing,
we need to keep this in the general GTA vicinity.
And... we need a place with indoor and outdoor facility.
