Avro Arrow Trip

Here are some of my pics from my trip to the Toronto Aerospace Museum.
I have to say the size of the Avro Arrow (replica) took my breath away. The pictures do not do it justice. Hard to believe this aircraft was designed over 50 years ago. Canadian designed and made. If you want the history "google it". This is one big plane and it definitely needs a bigger display space. The confinements of the hangar didn't allow me to get a whole picture of the plane. It was a dream come true.

A fellow G Driver visiting the museum. The trip was already off to a good start!

Note: The tail fin. They had to cut a strip in the ceiling to get it in the hangar

A souvenier

Nice I am an Avro Arrow buff that would be sweet to see and the souvenier is cool. Have you ever seen the move? Its called "The Arrow" with Dan Aykroyd its from 1997 it not a bad little story about the Arrow and its demise. I found it in a clearence bin at Wally Mart a few months ago.

I've seen the movie as well. Have it on VHS somewhere. The souvenir is a hand painted mahogany model. A G meet for the Arrow would be well worth it for all you GTA and Southern Ontario residents.

My son claims they have one at the Reynolds here in Alberta, have you been? They didn't when we were there a couple years ago. I think we'll try to hit it again this summer. We also have one of Canada's foremost Arrow experts, he runs Action Hobby here in Calgary, name of Doug Hyslip.

Love to see the full-size replica, though, thanks for the pics, shilo!
