Nah, nothing special about my work. Your other ride won't take as long to do at least.

Btw, I'll be sending you an email reply shortly.

The time it takes to clay a car really depends on it's size and how bad the paint condition is in. Just as an example, I spent almost 3 hours clay barring a customer's BMW last weekend, but it's also the longest I've spent on any vehicle. A normal clay for my own G takes about an hour or so.

The Step 1 however does have some mild abrassives and might remove some light scratches by hand. Removing paint imperfections is always best done by machine though. Good luck.
Thanks. I am going to take a look at cambodian tire to see all the different ones they have, will either get the steps or try the different cuts.

Well I did clay my car last monday, alas it will be my first and last white vehicle after the 4 hours it took to do

Here is one guy that has done many. That would be Kevin (Picus) from our site. He is a Detailing Guru around the GTA.
Here is his website http://gtaindetail.com/, check it out, good info on the FAQ section about clay bars etc. Lots of good pics also.

Colin was the one that told me about the main store in Guelph. I usually just pick up my Zaino supplies from Mike at the shop when I'm down that way.
The site is pretty helpful with application tips and hints.

Used the clay bar on my coupe Friday... the little bottle of wax cleaner that comes in the mothers kit is absolutely amazing! My worn black bumper looked 200% better! and the rest of my paint looks mint again!

I'm gonna wait until the Detail how to meet before purchasing anything.. I have an IP with some golden flakes (seems like rust) around the infinti logo in the rear trunk.. (this is usually after a wash).... but i can't find rust anywhere and its new.. so i dunno what these small flakes are!! argggh.
I just clayed my IP Coupe this Sunday. Same spots (rust like ones, and black ones) were present all over the car. They ALL came off, although, not very easily. I had clayed my car last year too, and they didn't, because I did a lazy job of it. Sunday, I spent about 6-7 hours washing/claying/waxing the car, and I got everything off. With those spots, RUB it with the clay until it's gone. It WILL disappear, I guarantee it, it just won't do so instantly. The car looks so much better now, it's absolutely stunning.
My advice, keep at it, try different motions/directions, vary the speed of your movement, vary the pressure, keep folding the clay to get the dirty side hidden, and if it gets too dirty, grab a new piece of clay. It's a HUGE pain in the ***, but it's worth it for how your car looks in the end. Especially worth it on IP's, imo. My entire body is sore, but my car looks awesome
