Clay Bar

Wow folks I spent today detailing my car. I washed it did the 50/50 water\rubbing alcohol and then the clay bar\detailer. I had no idea that the results would be that good! I am amazed. For those of you who have never done it, I highly recommend it. I was blown away by how much sh&t the clay bar picked up off my paint. and a cheers to RBull as well.

Did you polish and wax it after?

I too was blown away the first time I used a clay bar, it's even more impressive on a silver car that you think is really clean. Silver hides it so well.

It is literal. It is an actual bar of clay that you use over the car with some kind of lubricant to remove surface comtaminants from your paint.

I have my clay bar kit but am going to be looking into getting some polish aswell to remove the swirl marks so that I can try it by hand before getting a polisher, so I will clay polish 3 times, wax.

You're welcome.

Excellent!!

Glad it worked well! You would be equally or even more amazed if you had a PC and did a 2 step polish.

Well I don't know about pics supposed to rain here tomorrow and I never had time to put a good coat of wax on. I had to go over the car twice just to accomplish what I did today. Will try in the morning to wax it and will post pics if I can. And yes silver hides contaminants well, black must be even worse.

It's like 28 degrees here, one reason I wish I had willow interior.

Yea when I was looking I was set on black.

Stone would be the ultimate though. I love that combo.
