^ im not to experienced either but really its not bad being at the track as long as everyone respects each other and no one is on anyones behind chasing really closely. shannonville is probably the best track around here but iv never driven a car there just watched. iv only been to dunneville driving wise. we should set up a date that works for everyone and talk to the track ppl in advance and book the track. we should have a bbq too with tents and such. i think it would be great if we had a turnout like we did for the detailing meet. we should also kinda decide which track we would want to go to. my vote is for shannonville. anyone else?

well last time i did about 50 laps around the track which turned out to be around 100-130kms plus about 150km to get there plus detours for gas and food about 500kms including the way back and lets say aggressive driving for some of it at the track so id say about 80 bucks in gas and id suggest one octane booster to keep the car cool so about 5bucks for that and about 70-100 for the track max if at least 7-10 ppl show up. add food and water to that and about 200 bucks. aftermath of track would be just checking the suspension and maybe bolt anything if its loose most cases it wouldnt happen and if ur brakes are running low maybe you might need new pads after. for manual drives clutch ware is kinda hard to avoid if you wanna enjoy and have a good time. but id say about 200$ should be safe. probably less but lets just say that so no ones runs out of money on the way there or back lol.

Don't forget the $500 towing bill back to TO if you clutch burns out.
A friend of mine and myself headed down to Shannonville to attend a lapping event with the subie guys a few years back and had a great time except on his car at the end of the lapping he could smell this terrible buring smell. Then he could barely get the car to move and finally it was impossible to drive. Yep, he destroyed his clutch and had to have it towed all the way back to TO. Expensive day at the track for him. I was ok because I had a high performance clutch already installed in my car, thank God.
Just be carefull with the clutches guys and you should be alright. BTW the stock tires suck, so be prepared for some sliding.......sliding......ooopps....... off the track. My buddy must have slid off 3 or 4 times that night. It's a pretty flat track so it's pretty easy to go off. I didn't have any mishaps but then again my car was setup a bit different if ya know what I mean.
Have fun guys.
