How's the AWD systems on these cars for reliability?
Not sure what oil leak / oil pooling issue you're referring to?

Are you referring to the oil burning issue with some first generation cars - mostly '05+ rev up engines?

There are no known major issues with the second generation car I know of. Probably the worst is some owners of x's (including me) complain of brakes that vibrate at higher speeds or on significant downhills.

To clarify, I wanted to know if the oil pooling on the valves in the gen 1 G's are happening with the 07/08 G35's. I would guess the G37's does not have that issue as it is a completely new engine.

Is it the brake pads again that are giving problems? Can changing to after market brake pads resolve vibration issues? I will make sure I test that.

Still don't know about any oil pooling issue with the valves.....Never heard of that before. What is it and what cars/ years are you talking about?

Might be pads....might be rotors...seems to be some conflicting info out there.

Testing it will only give you a read at that particular time and it may start 10k later. OTOH it may not be an issue at all.

Check out the oil pooling issue. Hopefully it is not on the 07/08 G35's.

^thanks for that. Seems a few owners are having that problem.

I've not heard of it for the '07 & '08 however this is a different engine from the 2 in the first generation.

G/L with your '08.

Do you have info on the engines? Nissan actually implemented an engine for 2 years only for 07/08? I thought the engines were the same from 03 to 08 but they managed to squeeze out more HP.
