Question...
Do you find your rwd G is actually ok in the winter with snows on? I havent had a winter in the G yet and came from subarus and awd vws so its never been an issue. I'm about to buy winters, but was thinking I might as well just put the money into a beater for days when i can't drive my truck (wifes uses it for a couple days a week).
I'm talking Calgary/Edmonton winter weather, not those fake Vancouver and Toronto Winters.
Any insight appreciated.

I drove my g coupe RWD all winter last year. Other than the first bit of ice on the roads where I was nervous about hitting curbs, I had no problems! Like Swivel said, you just have to think ahead and be aware. The traction control does a good job of keeping you planted but black ice is still black ice. Deep snow can be a bit of a problem but if you don't go into deep snow.......I actually find my G couple better to drive than the old Chevy Avalanche that I used to have in the winter.

Happened to me last year, won't happen this year, the deed will be done on Monday. Would like to wait a bit more (after all it was 16C today), but I'm not taking the chance after the experience of just barely making it home.
