You'll find 100 threads arguing about oil on this forum. I run Amsoil synth since I'm a dealer, others like Mobil1 or German Castrol, even Motul. Search on any of those if you want to spend hours reading pointless arguments with few or no used oil analyses to back them up. Or feel free to PM me regarding Amsoil.

^^ +1 for Amsoil. I'll be switching to Amsoil in the Spring. I wanted to get my FX broken in on regular Dino then I will do the switch.

I think red got his headers from Lightspeed I am not sure the cost but he had them ceramic coated then installed there as well. I always like to buy local when possible (if the price is close) just because if your local tuning shop closes you are SOL on tuning sure I can buy parts off the internet but I won't be able to get my car tuned. My $0.02 on the internet vs local buying that being said i have bought my fair share of items off site vendors. There are things that local can't get or can't compete but you get the idea thats my opinion and I don't think any less of anyone that dosent agree.

The drone or rasp is not what we call ricey it is an annoying sound that will be at a certain rpm and it will drive you nuts for daily driving. If you go with hi-flow cats or resignated test pipes you should be fine, Swivel hips sold his stillen because of the drone but he is old so his opinion dosent hold much wieght honestly "MOST" people agree that the drone is only bad with straight through test pipes avoid them and you will be fine.

Here is my car with the stillen exhaust and Fast intentions resignated test pipes. i have the TT kit in the videos the stillen exhaust was louder before the TT kit but it sounded the same so you have an idea.

Thumbs up

Yeah, that'll do

I didn't ever notice my exhaust making that awful squeeling noise in 2nd gear though- I suppose I need a TT to get that sort of HP sauce. (lol)

As for supporting the locals- all for it provided we can at least get close. 100 dollars? Sure! 600 dollars...

Unfortunately I was having trouble getting on LSI's website last night (and this morning actually... but it's up and running again now) so I haven't been able to see where they're at in terms of pricing. I'm on nights right now so I sleep through any reasonable business hours during the day. I'll fire them off an email (to Cam as recommended) and see where I end up. Also joined their facebook... I'll help keep 'em open for a COUPLE days anyways. Deal is, however, if I end up in red deer for a couple nights I get to see your car!

(Edit: I see they have Injun Super SES exhaust -mmmm titanium- and that seems like a good way to go vs the Stillen. True / False?)

And as for the AMSOIL... Nobody would throw down something like that around here if they weren't DAMNED sure about what they were saying... (old or not!)

SOLD.

I'll send you a note tonight- I'm due for a change soon and live just south of Calgary.

Thanks for the heads up... if I don't see him back in this thread I'll send him a note. I can do without the ti tips... more interested in "go" then "show..." But a little show never hurt.

I sent a note to Cam over at LSI and I'll see what happens on that front. Thanks for making that recommendation- looks like what I was hoping for!

I have the Injen SES but this was before the TI ever came out. Mine is just the polished tips. I bought all my N/A parts from LSI the will have what you are looking for. And send me a PM any time for some help.

As far as oil goes, thanks to Swivel I changed every fluid in my car to Amsoil. Another choice is Motul.

What you did there. I saw it.

Yeah, I was really on the fence regarding the Stillen -- I loved the way it looked and sounded, but with AT the worst drone was right in the daily driving rev band, so after a while it just got old. If my car were 6MT I probably would have kept the exhaust.

Eno, I'm on the south end (Mc Towne), so probably not too far away from you. I'll shoot you a PM and answer your questions.

That reminds me I need to set up a time to talk to Cam and come up with a plan for the 370Z for the new year and beyond

"I have a list and checking it twice"

In the meantime, I'll start with the JWT clutch/flywheel install first and go from there. I really don't want to do that job myself and I have to remind myself, I am getting older

Looking forward to touching base with everyone in the New Year

I talked with Cam at LSI and he was awesome... as expected from many positive comments from the lads in here. Haven't had the work done but I'm sure it won't disappoint. Like he said "We'll do what we gotta do."

We're just waiting for delivery of Stillen HFCs and exhaust, BC Coilovers, got the MD Sways... whiteline camber arms and endlinks... Hoping to get some 19's I bought (or am waiting to buy) over in the marketplace pretty soon- a cobb tuner... And I think Cam is putting me on the dyno over there too to make sure all is ticketty boo. I've got the 5/16ths spacer going on hopefully between now and then- just a matter of slapping it in there!

I concur with what was said earlier about Cam at LSI- really knowledgeable and friendly. I'm really glad that I was referred to him.

On the inside I got a double din going in hopefully next week and a pretty nifty pioneer nav / dvd setup being installed meanwhile to a custom sub box I bought off gd'up (g35driver member) in Calgary- and a decent amp to help drive the 2 JL 10" subs. LSI won't be doing this work but I mention it because Visions in Calgary didn't do me wrong- I'm told their install guys are pretty good. I'll keep you posted on that too.

So when do they arrive and is your garage at the front of the house, or rear? Lighted? Alarmed? Got a dog?? haha!

My real reason for asking is there are some cool wheels for sale locally, I was gonna put you onto 'em, but IMO what you're getting are way nicer.
