I agree Shane, it was sad to see, but I don't think this was the action of true Canuck fans.
It seems like the whole thing was precipitated by a bunch of hooligans.
I wouldn't be surprised if they planned this win or lose.
After all the good they did with hosting the Olympics, it's sad to see it all go down the drain.

At the end of the day though, Vancouver looked very bad in the eyes of the rest of the country. You don't see other cities doing this when they lose the cup.

B.C. Premier Christy Clark said the rioters would be hunted down.
“I promise you this: You won’t be able to live in anonymity, you won’t be behind your bandana or under your hoodie,” she said. “We’re going to do everything we can to make sure the public understand who you were. Your family, your friends, your employer will know you were part of this,” said Clark

And this is how vandals/criminals should be treated. Anonymity waived!
I hope that everyone they can connect, with 100% certainty, to this disgraceful act is fined to the maximum letter of the law (financially) and that the majority of the money goes directly into the pockets of the business owners.
A few days in a holding cell won't teach these punks anything...hit them where it hurts. Hit their reputation and their wallets.

Nice one!
Yeah, I'm in Vancouver right now and had hoped that the olympics would have cultured the city- and I think overall it did.
The idiocy of people interviewed on TV saying "hey, we're upset and there shouldn't be anything wrong with expressing ourselves..." It makes me want to shake the s4it out of people. Fortunately- it sounds like 95% of people were there for the right reasons and I think I even heard some applause when the cup was delivered to Boston... though it's hard to tell from the TV footage.
And the Luongo crack above is perfect. Gah!
