That was an awesome game last night. Canada played extremely well, let's hope they play the exact same against Russia tomorrow night.

One thing that really surprised me though was the lack of USA fans in the stands. I was really perplexed that the stands were probably 75-80% filled with Canadians. Even though it's close the Canada border, its' not something I was expecting to see.

Re: lack of american fans.

Financial priorities, first and foremost. Buffalo is in the dumps. I'm betting the organizers expected majority of the tix to be in our hands.

^ Gotcha. I wasn't aware of the city's financial issues. I wonder if the lower demand meant some decent ticket prices?

That would be interesting to learn. I registered for the 2012 Calgary/Edmonton WJHC ticket lottery -- good tickets are $1300 a seat. Mind you that's for 21 games...

yeah, great game.

They really took the lesson from the loss against the Swedes; beating the US to the puck, taking it away from them with force, great goaltending) puck handling too, strong offense & defense.

I registered as well but swallowed hard when I seen it was $2600 for two packages. I also registered for Edmonton also 1200-1300/package I think it is 13-14 games but 4 are canada games. $5200 for two seats for the tournament . I guess you could sell a bunch to recoup some money

That's what I was thinking. Norway vs Slovakia might be a tough sell, though.

Just signed up for the ticket draw myself. Tickets are pretty price; might have to split a set with someone.

And sitting on the $2,600 for a year would suck that is enough money to finish my engine build or buy 1/2 the set of wheels i have my eye on

If Canada goes to the gold metal game the those tickets alone would sell for $1,000/seat but I would hate myself if sold tickets to the gold metal game. I plan my days around the Canadian games that tourny and when GSP fights are the only sporting events that I literally cant miss without taking the chance of slipping into depression.
