How much for used Brembo setup, installed?
I found a set of used Brembos locally. The owner says he'll install them on my car for $2000. Is that a fair price? Seems a little expensive.

The brakes are on a 2004 coupe with 80,000km. I haven't looked at their condition yet. Rotors and pads could be almost new or almost dead. He might want $2000 plus tax plus brake fluid etc., or it could be a cash deal.
I would expect an average set of used Brembos would go for about $1000 to $1400. What would a garage charge to install on top of that?

Jay, ask the guy what he wants for therm not installed and then bring them to rockstar and we'll install them. (unless he's installing them for nothin)
I'd talk him down.

that may be a bit biased!
Surprisely, I've had and worked on both and I think the Akebonos are the best bang for the buck. 14" front rotors, 13.5" rear rotors with 4 pot front, 2 pot rear. A big brake kit for less than 1/3 the price.
The front rotor weighs in at 49 lbs and is a serious piece of rotor. A two piece rotor combination with a set of aftermarket brake pads will get the weight down and offer some excellent braking power. I know I'm keeping mine on the 370Z and with the stock rotors combined with Hawks HP+ pads ....... it's a super stopping potential package

I prefer the Brembos and they work very well, but the rotors are a tad bit small. I much prefer the 14" rotors aside from the wight.
