Watch out for Toyotas in general, Camrys in particular - mostly driven by members of the 'anti-destination league'.

And to keep on topic: my 07x has lost so much of its original value that I'm considering modding it vs. selling.

I can't take credit - something I remember from an ancient Car and Drivel mag.

And as for the mods... yeah.

Paid $60,000CDN for mine brand new with sports and navigation in June of 2005. Trying to sell mine now for about $17,000.

As a car salesman... In 06 I sold a used 04 Coupe (dealership trade in) with 25K miles for $25K. The sticker on it was 29. It was a base model too. I fell in love with it as I took it for multiple test drives. I would not have been able to afford to buy my 06 (2 months ago) if it wasn't a buyers market.

It's like stocks, you only loose $ when you sell. The G is my inoculation against TDB.

Save your money or stick to minimal mods, suspention, wheels, intake and exhaust.

Hahaha...anti destination league! I'm dying to get rid of the camry but it jost won't give me any reason to. the broad drives it, she hates it, but damnit it won't give me a reason to chuck it. Hell, it doesn't even want to rust.

blaccg35: good to know 05-07 6mt's only, exactly what I was looking for.

interalian: I agree with you, I was thinking of selling/trading in, but for what they want for it, I figure I'll donate it to the broad one day when I get real bored of it, which shouldn't take more than a few years. Although it's not that bad, I always thought the G's, particularly the sedan X's, would hold up a bit better resale value. Guess I was wrong. Ohh well, stuck driving the G isn't so bad.

Sylvan lake to interalian: true advice, stick to wheels/drop/I recommend a front lip. The intakes all seem a waste of money on our 2nd gens since they all seem to lose power/torque on the dynos, and exhaust just doesn't work on automatics IMO. The stock exhaust note is good enough for me, just a little growl.
