Lol I dont think this car can even come close to competing with the M-series and AMGs.........They should come out with a g56 and then it will be some competition!

 

They're going to have to add quite a bit more power then what they did. M3s will still eat these things for breakfast without breaking a sweat!

 

Why would you make a "performance" badge but only give the car an extra 18 hp? Why not up it to 400-425 hp to compete with the BMW M3, Mercedes AMG and Audi S4?

agree with everything u guys said. they better have to come up with supercharged v8 or something close to that,(380-400hp benchmark at least) or else this wouldnt add anything to infiniti branding. if actually infiniti gave those HP numbers they are morons who doesnt know anything about market segmenting and unfortunately get paid like crazy 6digit salaries !!!

 

On the other hand, I wish they made a g37 with 400+ HP bc that would be one sweet motor swap for most of our cars

 

Its just the begining of the IPL line up. The current g37s were recently refreshed but are due for a redesign for 2011-12. Why would they update the current model with next gen power/tech? It wouldnt be a good market/product strategy. I believe the next gen IPLs will definitely compete with the M's and AMG's

 

LOL - 348-hp. The e46 was pushing 333hp when it came out, 10 years ago.

if someone wanted more power and upgraded suspension, this $5k offers poor bang-for-the-buck. for a bit more than $5k a guy could get into a low-boost turbo kit and get a hell of a lot more enjoyment out of it while maintaning reliability. i don't see the point, or value, in the IPL coupe. very weak effort by infiniti.

 

The M56 V8 at 420 HP sounds quite interesting....and alot more like it.
