Wow, that's a lot of snow. Our official number according to weather network was 14cms. I would have guessed 25 especially since it was so windy and bigger drifts. Today it was +3 so had some melt and driveway is clear again as usual. It's been very warm so far this winter, especially the evening lows. We've hit -8 once but mostly it's 0 to -3 or so.
Yikes. We'll hit that a couple of nights of the year but the daytime will usually pop up 10-15 degrees or so even during that cold snap.

I didn't take any pics Bill but I'll try and remember to snap one tomorrow.
You need a neighbour with a plow truck or your own ATV with a plow. As long as you keep up with the snow not allowing it to build more than 4-6 inches the ATV will work well

Funny, Saint John received 14cms of snow as well. Since we are 20 mins away from the coast, we typically get more. All in all though, it's been a fantastic winter. Like you, our temps have been extremely mild. I don't think we've had a day time low any more than -5C or so. Today we got to +2C. Even though we had a bunch of snow yesterday, it's really been an easy winter. Although I really realized how large my new driveway is to snowblow. Took me 2.5 hours to do this morning.

Actually, my closest neighbour has a new Rhino side by side with a plow on it and offered to do by driveway this winter but I declined. Since we have a driveway with 1/2" crushed rock, I didn't want a half a driveway all over my lawn in the spring. I do plan on picking up an ATV at some point this year though.

I knew that.
Once you pave it it's a piece of cake.

^...you guys... my spouse is enjoying hers.
The worst is yet to come here. 15cms last night and 35-40 expected today.
The good thing is so far it has been that super light "Western" powder. Hope we stick with that today compared to our usual moisture laden stuff.

Let it blow, let it blow, let it blow

Enjoy you day off mates.
