You're not getting how easy it is to have things manufactured in China, these companies come and go and build the same ****.

 

Blain I get now what you're saying about knock offs, ex 2 HKS mufflers both look the same but 1 is built with cheap materials and uses the HKS badging yes I do agree with that in the sense that its wrong.

I do believe HKS overcharged on their parts which is why I think is part of the reason for them closing down here in North America if I have the chance to buy an HKS muffler or say a Magnaflow that both look the same, sound similar but the Magnaflow is 40% cheaper I'll defiantly go for the lesser cost because I know Magnaflow still builds a decent product.

 

I think you are straying away from the point you originally wanted to make.

 

My point was more than made a couple pages back.

I am now just responding to people who are trying to justify cheap parts.

 

I agree 99.99% with Blain, and 0.01% with Bing.

If a manufacturer can not PROVE to a customer that their product is superior, and support the product, then they don't deserve to be held at the "premium" level they charge for.

HOWEVER, this absolutely under no circumstance WHAT SO EVER makes it OK to blatantly copy someone else's design and sell it for money. As previously mentioned - if you want to buy shitty parts, go right ahead. But not copies.

And one last point, for those that give me the bullshit "well I can't afford the real parts, knock offs are all I can afford wa wa wa" - YOU DONT NEED TO BUY AFTERMARKET PARTS FOR YOUR GOD DAMN CAR! It is NOT a Necessity! Having a G35/350z is NOT A NECESSITY! So PLEASE STOP WITH THAT TERRIBLE EXCUSE! Have some morals for god's sake people.

(And then come to SG to have your quality parts installed, setup and tuned)
