My 2 Week old G35 Coupe

Hey guys,

I am stressed out. When I picked up my car at the dealer it was dirty as hell, all they did was shine up the tires. I know why they didn't clean it. They didn't clean the car because there was a scratch on the rear quarter panel. Next I noticed that my rear speaker was making a crackling noise, a few days later the front speakers had the same problem. I also noticed that when I drove away from the dealership it was very hard to put it in second, a week later my gears grind when I try to place it in second or even when my car is only moving 4km/h & I try to place it in First its grinds so bad you can feel it on the shifter. Mind you this only happens when you first start the car. Let me tell you I am soo happy that I can bring my car to service at a different dealer. I would never go back to Willowdale. YES I WAS WRONG I ADMIT IT. But the only reason I was kissing *** was because I was afraid that they would sabotage my car before I get, because the where reading the web site & my post. Oh well I am glad I found one of the best service departments through this forum "Jerry @ Infiniti of Yorkville" I am dropping off my car tomorrow to Jerry. I hope he can fix my baby.

Oh man, that sucks...sorry to hear that...

They sure have some ***** to pull that off, betting any customer will take deliever of a $50K car when it was dirty as hell. I just hate scum bags like that, and I hope you won't just let them off hook by simply going to get it repaired somewhere else...did you try to talk to them about the scratch/speakers/transmission? you report to Inifiniti Canada yet? Unless the dealership is openly run by mafia, I don't see any problem for making their lives a living hell...Man, if it was me, they now can only wish that they never even tried to sell me a car in the first place...

I haven't heard any good about ' W. Inf.' bro so I'd stay away from them for service from now on. But as Stalker said, they should be held accountable for how your ride was delivered. Maybe Jerry at Yorkville can bill the bums for your damages.
Give the story to Jerry, and see what he says about it. He's a good guy and will look after you dude. G/L

Aw man. Sorry to hear about the end result. You should make a lot of noise to Infiniti Canada .... why are these putzes still in business??!

Jerry and Yorkville Inifiniti will treat you right. Enjoy the G ...!

Really sorry to hear that Willowdale has done it yet again.

I hope things work out for you at Yorkville.

In the meantime, don't let them get away with this without filing at very least, a complaint to Infiniti Canada. Maybe even ask Jerry what you can do, or if he can help you. As a consumer, you have rights. I believe I PM'd you some info before, make good use of those contacts.

sorry its a little long but read it

there is something definetly wrong about willodale Infin/nissan.
the management there is completely WACK. just because they probably have the best location for a dealership in i'd say canada they think they can be and do whatever they want.
let me tell u my story. In january i went to dealership with my folks to inquire about a Z or a G. the salesperson was very nice but new to the job, he gave us some info on the cars and i turned to him and asked what is the avaialablity of the 2 cars (becuase back then i really liked both and i wanted a car by spring). so he went to the sales manager his name is micheal and asked him, i could see from a distance throught the office window that the manager was giving the sales guy a hard time and chewing him out for what i didnt know. the sales person comes back and is like i cant give u any info until we have a deal. I turned to him and said, listen i dont need to know the exact date of delivery if i buy one, i want to know approximately how long i have to wait, is it 2 weeks, 2 months, 6 months, 2 years? he went back and 10 mins later the sales manager comes in with a huge order list in his hands, he slams it on the table and is like "ok what do want?"
i'm like excuse me? he sais auto or MT. i have to tell u that he has not made eye contact at all as of yet. Auto of MT, so i say MT, then he replies "colour?" i say silver, SS, he start shuffling thru his papers at which i turn to him and say have u had a bad day? he looks at me and sais NO. My father replies are u this rude to all ur customers? he gets up from his chair and yells GET OUT! In shock from his rude and unprofesssional demeaner, we get into a war of words and then leave. My father call the owner to tell him what happened, and i'm sure the owner/GM heard everything and replies that he is very happy with his sales manager.
So we file a complaint with Infinti and thats that.
got my car 3 weeks later from alta (due to a cancellation) and i was going to drive up to the willowdale dealer and just park it in front their window and give the rude gestures but i said why degrade myself and stoop to their level,
MORAL of the story,,,,,,,,,,, WILLOWDALE SUCKS ***

That definitely does suck. Take the other fellas advice above and hope that you get ur car back in order. Good luck.

Damn ..... I still would have given them a few gestures or two from my G ... !

Let's hope that Willodale changes for the better! I remember the day when the Town and Country BMW service department was run by complete jerks. I guess enough bad word of mouth spread around and they virtually replaced the entire service staff .... drastic, but heck it worked and I have had nothing but excellent service from them since!

a bunch of incompetent idiots, i;m sorry but they were.

I know what you are talking about the Town and Country BMW...man, something about the dealerships in that automall. We bought the Z3 from T&C, and after two services, I decided to take my business elsewhere ( to BMW Autohaus when they were at Hwy 7 and Main street location), and I made sure that the service manager and GM at T&C knew that I left because I could no longer trust them and their service with my car. I also reported to BMW Canada, where I was notified later that a warning has been issued to T&C...I still refuse to go back there even now their current location at Kennedy&14th is actually closer to me then AutoHaus.

Having bitched about the bad services from some dealers, there are actually good ones out there. And it's just as important and fair to report and purnish the bad services, as to recognize and reward the good ones. That's why I wrote thank you letters/emails/cards to Service managers/GM at the Woodbine Chrysler(Hwy 7 & Woodbine), where I used to have my Jeep TJ serviced. The amount of personal, detailed attention I got, and the quick, logical response on solving problems there were amazing. Therefore I made sure that the serivce guy I used to deal with get the recognition he deserves from his employer.

So if any of us got some exceptionally good service reportedly from Yorkville or Alta, let's not just make them known here in this forum. Let their bosses/owners know as well, and believe me, it makes whole world of difference to those service guys/managers, and ultimately, it'll get us even better services after.
